New Fall-Winter Collection
Where rhythm and harmony orchestrate lasting change through the unconscious mind!
IMAGINE if that ONE thought that is always holding you back from showing up in life the way you want to show up, didn't even exist anymore?
What if your self-hatred/anxiety/jealousy/comparison/hopelessness/fear/imposter-syndrome/unworthiness feelings were something you automatically knew how to overcome? Can you imagine if you actually could learn how to respond, intuitively, from the unconscious, in a way that you ideally wanted to respond?
We all have thought patterns. Reoccurring thoughts and feelings that we continue to live on a daily basis - even when we don't WANT to continue to experience them again and again. And whatever we plant in our minds and nourish with repetition and emotion grows stronger and harder to change.
Dr. Joe Dispenza says that our bodies literally become addicted to the chemicals and hormones that are released through toxic thought patterns, and our primal brains search for the familiar as a survival mechanism. But we DO NOT have to stay under the influence of the recurring patterns of our unconscious mind. Scientists have proven that intentional neuroplasticity ("the ability of the brain to form and reorganize synaptic connections, especially in response to learning, or experience, or following injury") to the effect of creating a thought to become an automated habit takes exactly 63 days!
WHAT IS THIS WORKSHOP ABOUT?
1. Music has been proven to accelerate and enhance neuroplasticity and
2. It makes it just much more fun!
WHY NOW?
Initially, I created this workshop as a second level or supplement to my Somatic Singing Workshop because the participants asked me for more! I actually feel there are a LOT of layers to Somatic Singing that I could go deeper into and share with you all...but the most timely and interesting one to me at the moment, and most importantly, the one I feel will be most beneficial for YOU is Musical Neuroplasticity!
Dr. Dan Siegel, author of The Whole Brain Child, talks about how when a young child is crying or upset, you can’t rationalize practically with her, but if you are aware of connecting emotionally first - right brain to right brain - and hold her, listen, and comfort, then afterwards you can start to help her tell her story, using both the left and right brain together. Only after that initial connection and comfort can you talk about behavior or solve the problem.
As adults we are no different. When we are emotionally triggered, we revert to emotional childhood and we need to connect first, and THEN think about solving the problem or reconceptualizing things within a story.
In the same way, that is how I think of these courses I've created - the Somatic Singing Workshop, (below) at this point, represents the connect and comfort release, and the Musical Neuroplasticity Workshop is learning how to reconceptualize and manage our minds - both of these aspects are essential for healthy emotional and mental health.
WHEN WILL IT BE?
Friday,
It will be this Saturday, April 10th at 5 pm Berlin time CEST, Friday, April 23rd at 5 pm and Friday, April 30th at 5pm.
Why such strange times?
Because the process of creating a thought to the point of automated habit takes 63 days, we are going to be intentional about meeting on the most important days in terms of breakthrough in the process - Day 1, Day 14, Day 21 and then Day 63, of course, is the final day of the process!
WHERE WILL THE COURSE TAKE PLACE?
We will meet on Zoom and then interact throughout the 9 weeks in the private Facebook group. No experience with singing is necessary and zero pressure or expectation to sing in front of a group. You can be on mute the entire time if you want! ;.)
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The course will be $97 USD for a minimum of 6 hours of instruction, and then companionship on the journey of 9 weeks.
WHAT IF I CAN'T ATTEND ALL THE DATES?
If you cannot attend one of the dates, we will record everything and you can still purchase a copy of the recordings. You do not necessarily have to have done the Somatic Singing Therapy Workshop beforehand, but if you are curious about taking that workshop, you can purchase the digital version of the course.
WHAT WILL THIS WORKSHOP DO FOR ME?
Musical Neuroplasticity is personally the most powerful thing I have discovered and experienced so far that has made significant and dramatic change in my own mind management and I am very excited to share it with you!
I hope to see you this Saturday!
WORKSHOP
2020 has been emotional...
and all of that emotion is stored in your body!
Want to know the best way to release negative emotions?
SINGING, BODY AND BREATH WORK!
Doctors and authors of the book, Burnout, Emily and Amelia Nagoski, talk about how emotions get 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙘𝙠 𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙨 and how each emotion is like a tunnel - the emotion needs to release and go all the way through the tunnel - if it gets stuck along the way, that is when we get sick - both physically and psychologically.
Our emotions are vibrations - either ecstatic, fast moving vibrations, or low energy, negative, emotional, slow moving and heavy vibrations that can get stuck in our bodies, causing physical and psychological illness and making us feel out of sync.
Our job, as energetic beings, is to connect to the frequency of LOVE and LIFE and let those negative emotions just vibrate through us... allowing, accepting, and bringing compassion and comfort to the pain and discomfort that those negative emotions bring up in us. Shaking off the tightness and rigidity, in a sense, so we can move into freedom in our bodies, souls, and spirits.
But this is something very few of us are taught. We didn’t get this class in school.
We’re mostly just encouraged to use use the thinking part of our brains (the cortex) but there’s a whole part of our brains (the limbic system) that deals with emotions & affects our entire nervous system - which includes our brains and our entire bodies - that is largely ignored by society & culture.
Even modern talk therapy and psychology can encourage overthinking or simply re-trigger painful memories or emotions, but doesn’t show us how to release painful or negative emotions so we can heal.
Singing is something that immediately activates high frequency vibrations, so it’s a great way to help us release low frequency emotions but there’s more to it then simply belting out “Let it go”!
Often times, because of traumatic experiences, people’s emotions and nervous systems block certain parts of their bodies from being used, sometimes unconsciously even as a protective survival response, and so not all the parts of the body are able to vibrate and be fully activated and engaged with singing.
Join my SOMATIC SINGING THERAPY WORKSHOP and learn how to sing from the whole body, release negative emotions and trauma from your body, and recognize when the stress cycle is complete so you can practice on your own when the workshop is over!
No experience is necessary, but you WILL leave singing better than ever before!
I will help you find your true, primal voice - your entire body will be singing and vibrating!
Voice work is energy work. When we move our breath and our voice, we move energy within our body.
When we change our energy, we change our lives.
“I have tried other courses or approaches that perhaps brought temporary relief, but this one workshop provided the tools to feel positive emotions and access them at any time. This approach is certainly the best of them all. JennyRebecca is such a gifted teacher, and not only was I feeling more free than ever before, I am SINGING with more clarity and honesty then I ever thought possible. The emotional part and the musical part, and the connection to my body, soul, spirit - All of it was just what my heart needed.”
Paula, Cincinatti
“I am very grateful to JennyRebecca for showing me how to connect and heal the blocks that I had inside myself. Whether you are an artist or not, I highly recommend this workshop and it will be a great help to continue on your path.”
Edwin, Hamburg
“I thoroughly enjoyed participating in this workshop and experiencing fun (and funny) voice exercises and the other people. I felt comfortable and safe practicing with everyone what I would normally feel embarrassed to do on my own. Through the singing and moving my body without judgment, I was able to explore my emotions in new ways and learn techniques for managing stress. It was a whole body experience! I am so grateful to have experienced this with a wonderful group of people.”
Melinda, Virginia
“I wanted to take this workshop because I had already done some vocal coaching with JR and realized in the process that I had a lot of self-hatred. I found there is so much healing in using the body as therapy and that creativity opened up so much emotional healing and brought me into a deep connection with my heart. I learned how to use my voice to even calm myself down. My body and my thoughts and emotions felt disconnected for a long time but this workshop helped me connect and heal - and my voice got so clear, pure and natural then it's ever been.”
Lisa, London
Learning how to manage your emotions and fully release them has to be more than just knowledge and getting information into your MIND. It has to be more than just understanding from a cognitive level, why our emotions get stuck in our bodies - You’ve got to actually experience the PROCESS of releasing those emotions on a physical, emotional and intellectual level and see how it FEELS to let those emotions vibrate through you.
If it’s just a piece of information, it’s going to go in one ear and out the other but if you can actually experience the vibration of your emotions WORKING their way THROUGH your body, RELEASING, and going ALL THE WAY THROUGH to complete the stress cycle, THAT is when you start to truly experience RELIEF and can then learn to implement that process on a regular basis, so that you can learn to help yourself feel better every day.
One of the biggest reasons, why people don’t want to start to feel their feelings and allow them to come up, is because they’re afraid that they will just feel that way forever - and NO ONE teaches us how to actually let those emotions MOVE THROUGH us. Talk therapy might bring them up, but it doesn’t teach us how to feel those emotional vibrations through, so that they can pass - like storm clouds rolling on through, they tend to just get stuck. Somatic Singing Therapy addresses the person's physical, mental, and emotional connection and helps release trauma through the power of your own voice.
In the Somatic Singing Therapy Workshop, we combine body, voice, breath and compassion work to help you learn how to let your harmful emotions move through you and completely out of your system. It is the fastest and most FUN way that I know, to feel fantastic in a matter of minutes, but also calm yourself down and help you really learn how to not just feel your feelings - so that you get to a place of never being frightened of any negative emotion that might come your way - but also, learn how to get to know your body and free it from the harmful affects of stress, anxiety, overwhelm, anger, fear and the collective uncertainty that we’ve all been experiencing on a daily basis since the pandemic started.
Join my 2 day workshop at the end of the month, learn how to feel amazing, sing better than ever before, and protect your body from the harmful effects of negative emotion in the future, that can get stuck in your body and make you sick if you don’t know how to release it.
What you learn in my Somatic Singing Therapy Workshop will not only be helpful for you in learning to work through your own harmful emotions, it will enable you to also help others if there are people around you who are struggling.
I hope to see you there and look forward to getting to know you!
